Charlotte is a knowledgeable and sympathetic family law solicitor and prides herself on finding practical solutions to what can be complex legal problems. Charlotte has also conducted international child abduction cases, representing clients in the Royal Courts of Justice. Collaboratively trained, Charlotte is committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes, and is a firm believer in minimising conflict in families, especially where children are involved. If circumstances require it, she is able to conduct her own advocacy in court with skill and confidence. Charlotte is also the President of the Mid Essex Law Society.

Starting her career as a paralegal and now a qualified solicitor, Sarah specialises in family and matrimonial matters and is part of a strong team of family lawyers who are recognised in the 2024 edition of The Legal 500. Representing couples, families and individuals across the Great Dunmow community, she can offer advice on divorce, pre-nuptial agreements, cohabitation and separation agreements, injunctions and cases relating to children. Providing both support and practical guidance, Helen has extensive experience in all aspects of divorce and family law having worked in the field for over 25 years. An associate of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and a member of Resolution, Helen seeks to reach amicable and constructive resolutions in matters relating to divorce, separation, cohabitation and children. She is particularly skilled in children cases, including care proceedings where Local Authorities raise concerns about children, as well as adoption cases and child arrangements. Representing a range of clients, Helen is a strong advocate and negotiator when needed, and works hard to achieve the best possible outcome.

Offering practical and realistic advice with empathy and compassion, Jill is dedicated to helping to alleviate the stress and anxiety of a family dispute or relationship breakdown. A Partner in the firm, she has worked on cases encompassing all areas of family law from divorce and civil partnership dissolution, to financial matters, injunctions and Children Act proceedings (both public and private). Jill’s approach is to provide excellent client service in a caring and compassionate manner, always thinking about the needs of the whole family, especially when children are involved. Her key objective is to navigate her clients through challenging times by providing clear, practical and honest solutions in order to protect them and their families.

A Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives, Vanessa has been specialising in family law for over 30 years and is known by her clients for her compassionate and sensitive approach to family cases. Dealing with a variety of issues during the course of her career, she has built expertise in divorce, separation, and complex financial matters including high income and capital asset cases, as well as issues around sharing and preserving the family home/pensions. Her work also involves disputes relating to children, including child arrangements, specific issues relating to relocation and schooling and assisting family members regarding the care of children when social services become involved. Vanessa can also assist with pre-marital agreements, living together agreements and protection orders when required. She is a member of Resolution and believes in a non-confrontational approach to resolving family issues.
