Amanda is a Partner, Head of the Family Department and one of the longest serving members of the firm. Her expertise lies in children law and she is instructed on behalf of children and parents in care proceedings initiated by the Local Authority, where the children are considered to be at risk or harm. She has been a member of The Law Society’s Children Law Accreditation Scheme for over 25 years and is a member of the Association of Lawyers for Children, always ensuring that children have a voice in proceedings concerning them. Amanda also provides advice and representation to step parents in adoption proceedings and special guardianship orders on behalf of those if adoption is not a workable solution. Known as a talented and confident Solicitor Advocate, she represents clients in the Family Proceedings Court, the High Court, the Court of Appeal and the House of Lords.
